Online Application Materials

Applications are submitted electronically and include a nonrefundable application fee. You will need to upload the following items as part of your application:

  1. Education — A copy of an official transcript from each institution attended, regardless of the number of credits or semesters completed. Transcripts not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation. Penn State alumni do not need to request transcripts for credits earned at Penn State, but must list Penn State as part of your academic history. Upon admission and your acceptance of admission, you will be asked to send an additional official transcript. You will receive instructions at that time.
  2. GPA & Test Scores — Post-secondary (undergraduate), junior/senior (last two years) GPA is required. Official GMAT or GRE test scores from within the past five years are required. Submit your official score report as follows:
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test): Pennsylvania State University - Smeal College of Business Administration - Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management: ZZ8-HD-64
    -or-
GRE (Graduate Record Examination): Code 2660 for Penn State
Because applicants come from a variety of educational and employment backgrounds, the GMAT provides a means to assess each applicant against a common standard. Requiring the GMAT helps ensure that all master's degree students are well qualified. To learn about test centers and schedules, or to request that a previously taken GMAT score be reported to Penn State, please visit the official GMAT website.
  3. English Proficiency — The language of instruction at Penn State is English. All international applicants must take and submit scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with some exceptions. Minimum test scores and exceptions are found in the English Proficiency section on the Graduate School's "Requirements for Graduate Admission" page.
  4. Reference — You will initiate the process through the online application by entering the name and email address of one reference. Upon submission of your application, an email will be sent to the recommender requesting him/her to complete a brief online recommendation regarding your commitment to success in an online program and addressing your professional capabilities and readiness for graduate study. Recent work or military supervisors are preferred. Recommenders must submit the form in order for your application to be complete.
  5. Résumé — Upload your short, one- to two-page résumé to the online application.
  6. Personal Statement — Describe your professional goals, experience, and responsibilities (two-page maximum).
